Support. Advocacy. Social Justice.

The Bisexual Organizing Project works to create community for anyone under the Bi+ Umbrella.

We're here.

About the Bisexual Organizing Project

BOP (Bisexual Organizing Project) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit registered in Minnesota that serves the Upper Midwest. We are committed to building the bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, and unlabeled (bi+) community through regular events and the yearly national BECAUSE conference. BOP is welcoming and inclusive of everyone, including but not limited to people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, sexes, relationship orientations, ethnicities, abilities, religions, and political affiliations.

BOP also works in partnership with other groups and individuals in the Upper Midwest who are organizing events serving bisexual and other non-monosexual communities.

Mission Statement

Build, serve and advocate for an empowered bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer, and unlabeled (bi+) community to promote social justice.

Bi Needs Assessments

The Bisexual Organizing Project (BOP), with the support of Outfront Minnesota, PFund Foundation and the Metropolitan State University Gender and Sexuality Student Services Office, commissioned the Bisexual Community Needs Assessment 2012 in order to understand the goals, problems and opportunities for furthering social justice for bisexuals. This report complements previous Needs Assessment undertaken by BOP in 1991 and 2001. Key report recommendations include, “More training for LGBT organizations and organizations serving the bisexual community; More targeted outreach to bisexuals by LGBT organizations and organizations serving the bisexual community; More targeted, bi-specific programming for bisexuals by LGBT organizations and organizations serving the bisexual community; and Building a more robust bisexual community through more bi-specific programming, continued growth of existing bi organizations, and the development of new ones.”
