Fundraising and Finance Committee
Committee Goals: plan fundraising activities and write grants to fulfill board direction on funds needed for operations.
The Fundraising and Grants Lead works with BOP’s board to create fundraising events and campaigns to meet BOP’s funding goals. You will work with Outreach, Marketing, and Communications to develop standing programs, such as end of year giving, along with other events during the year. You will also maintain contact with donors, including thanking them for their support. You will work with the volunteer coordinator to maintain an up-to-date database of donors and sponsors. The grant writer will apply for annual and ad-hoc grants, as well as organizing grant boilerplate materials and standardizing the grant application process. Apply now
Membership & Community Committee
Committee Goals: Create ways to welcome new people into the organization and encourage involvement.
The Membership lead provides membership services, internal communications, and supervises the volunteer coordinator. You will also set membership dues and collection methods. You will work with the volunteer coordinator to maintain an up-to-date database of current, recurring, and former members. Apply now
The Community lead organizes and provides hosts for regular and one-time events for members of the greater bi+ community. You will develop new, recurring community events and work with the volunteer coordinator to locate and train community moderators. You will also work with the Inclusion and Access community to increase outreach to a broad spectrum of the intersectional bi+ community. With the Outreach, Marketing, and Communications committee, you will help promote the fun and innovative aspects of BOP’s programming. Apply now
As a host/moderator for a community program, you will lead community events. Some events may be best suited for a regular, moderated discussion, while others may require a host. You will attend the community meetings, make guests feel welcome, and develop programming as needed. Apply now
Outreach, Marketing, & Communications Committee
Committee goals: develop and maintain external marketing, communication plans, and BOP’s official website and social media accounts.
As the Outreach, Marketing and Communications Chair, you will maintain BOP’s website and social media presence, as well as training the board in effective use of social networking to promote BOP. You will develop new outlets for announcements and marketing efforts, and work with the Membership and Community Committee to promote the fun and innovated programming BOP offers. You will develop and maintain a program for regular press releases and news statements, as well as developing and organizing standard materials and templates. Education & Activism Committee
Committee goals: promote bi+ visibility in the community and develop programs to assist and empower bi+ individuals and the community.
As the Education and Activism Chair you will develop events for BOP to present at, including tabling and presentations. You will assist with registering for events both within and outside the bi+ community, and work with the volunteer coordinator to staff these events. You will also train and assist volunteers in presenting Bi+ Essentials and other presentations as needed. Apply now
