BECAUSE 2015: Developing Leaders to Empower Community starts in one week! We’re all getting very excited here in the Twin Cities.
Two amazing keynote speakers, six workshop tracks, meals, receptions, and a Saturday night community celebration! It’s all waiting for you at the U of M Coffman Memorial Union April 17 – 19, 2015. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Pay-What-You-Can and Free Registration options are available! Come be a part of the amazing BECAUSE community. Preregistration is being extended until midnight, Monday April 13 so that the participants in the Upper Midwest Indigenous and Queer People of Color Conference (happening this weekend!) have a chance to preregister. Meals are only guaranteed if you preregister. We always have extra because we always have people who register on site, but if you have special food needs we need to know ahead of time so we can make sure we have food you can eat! Plus this year, there is a seperate Saturday Night Dinner: purchase a ticket for our Italian Buffet or bring your own food and join us for door prizes through out the dinner hour. Preregistration also helps us plan things like seating, accommodations, etc. We expect a significant number of onsite registrations from U of M Twin Cities students so help us out and let us know you are coming. Plus you get a nifty pre-printed badge instead of one you have to write yourself. As part of our continuing efforts to be more economically accessible, we are also asking for more support from the community members who can contribute a little extra. Only one third of the cost of the conference is covered by registrations. The rest is paid for with donations and grants from businesses, organizations, and individuals. You can made donations through the EventBrite conference registration page or right here on this website. Your support matters—thank you!
